Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279- Function
The Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279- is currently only on vehicles with a parking/auxiliary heater installed as optional equipment. Refer to CONNECTION DIAGRAM - COOLANT HOSES .
Incorporation of the heating and A/C system and the parking and auxiliary heater in the coolant circuit. Refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING or refer to the appropriate service information .
The Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279- is activated from the Auxiliary Heater Control Module -J364- according to the coolant temperature and the adjusted request. Refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING or refer to the appropriate service information and use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the"Guided Fault Finding" function.
If there is a concern regarding poor heating of the vehicle interior when operating the parking/auxiliary heater and a concern regarding poor heating of the vehicle interior with the engine running check the incorporation of the Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279- in the coolant circuit and the activation of the Heater Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N279- from the Auxiliary Heater Control Module -J364-. Refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING or refer to the appropriate service information and use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the"Guided Fault Finding" function.
