Upper Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

Mandatory Replacement Parts 

• Seal - Upper timing chain cover

Depending on the model preliminary work may be required. Refer to TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CVKB, DBPA, CWNA, CVLA, DEMA, DHDA] .

-- Remove the camshaft adjustment valves. Refer to CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVE 1 -N205- / EXHAUST CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVE 1 -N318-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and move the left coolant pipe to the side.

-- If necessary, unclip the oil dipstick tube -1- on the upper timing chain cover -arrow- and remove from the lower timing chain cover.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 6- and the upper timing chain cover.
