Axle Alignment Procedure, AUDI Q7
-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
The Following Sequence of Procedure Steps Must Be Observed.
- Drive the Vehicle "Straight" onto the Alignment Rack. Switch off the Ignition Only When the Vehicle Has Come to a Stop.
- Versions with air suspension: initiate and lock standard vehicle height. Refer to STANDARD VEHICLE HEIGHT, INITIATING AND LOCKING
- Audi Q7 from product improvement: move to steering gear into the zero position. Refer to REAR AXLE STEERING GEAR, MOVING INTO ZERO POSITION
- Perform Wheel Run-Out Compensation. Refer to WHEEL RUN-OUT COMPENSATION .
- Check the Maximum Steering Angle. Refer to MAXIMUM STEERING ANGLE, CHECKING .
- Even out the Steering Wheel Scales :VAS6458A on the steering wheel as close to 0° as possible.
- Check the Rear Axle Camber and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to REAR AXLE CAMBER, ADJUSTING .
- Check Rear Axle Toe and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to REAR AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .
- Check Front Axle Camber and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to FRONT AXLE CAMBER, CENTERING .
- Check the Front Axle Toe and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to FRONT AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .
When the adjustment on the suspension is changed:
- Calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor -G85-. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor -G85- BASIC SETTING .
If the adjustment on the rear axle was changed:
Using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, determine which Driver Assistance Systems are installed.
- Adjust the adaptive cruise control. Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC), ADJUSTING .
- Calibrate the radar sensor (Control Module for Adaptive Cruise Control J428). Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) .
- Calibrate the laser sensor (Laser Distance Regulation Control Module J1122). Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) .
- Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera, Calibrating. Refer to DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS FRONT CAMERA, CALIBRATING .
- Infrared System, Calibrating. Refer to INFRARED SYSTEM, CALIBRATING .
