Sub-Assembly Bracket, Removing And Installing, Generator: Removing
Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to SUB-ASSEMBLY BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and pivot the left coolant pipe upward.
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING (CYMC) .
-- Vehicle without high-voltage system: remove the ribbed belt from the tensioner. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the A/C compressor from the bracket and tie it up with the refrigerant hoses connected to the longitudinal member. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING FROM BRACKET .
-- Vehicle without high-voltage system: remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the oil filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL .
-- Disconnect the connectors:
1 - For the Oil Pressure Switch -F22- -2-
3 - For the Reduced Oil Pressure Switch -F378- -4-
5 - For the Piston Cooling Nozzle Control Valve -N522- -7-
-- Place a cloth under the sub-assembly bracket to catch any escaping engine oil.
-- Remove the bolts -1 through 5- and pull off the sub-assembly bracket from the coolant pump housing.
