Lower Timing Chain Cover, Replacing: Removing

- Engine oil drained. Refer to ENGINE OIL .
-- If installed, remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Free up the wires.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and pivot the left coolant pipe upward.
-- Unclip the oil dipstick tube -1- on the upper timing chain cover in direction of -arrow- and remove from the lower timing chain cover.
-- Vehicles with generator: remove the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1 through 15-.
NOTE:
There may be only eight bolts installed, depending on the version.
-- Loosen the lower timing chain cover from the bonding.
