1. Alignment Pin
2. Cylinder Head Gasket
   • Always replace after removing.
   • Installed position: the part number faces the cylinder head
3. Cylinder Head
   • Checking for distortion. Refer to Fig 5.
   • Only replace together with the cylinder head cover
   • Removing and installing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. Bolt
   • Tightening. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Always replace after removing.
   • Loosening. Refer to Fig 2.
5. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
6. Heat Shield
7. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
8. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
9. Connection
   • For coolant hose
10. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Coat with coolant
11. Cylinder Head Bolt
    • Tightening. Refer to Fig 3.
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Loosening. Refer to Fig 2.
12. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Coat with coolant
13. Connection
    • For coolant hose
14. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
15. Engine Lifting Eye
16. Bolt
    • 10 Nm + 90°
    • Always replace after removing.
17. Partition Plate
18. Engine Lifting Eye
19. Bolt
    • 10 Nm + 90°
    • Always replace after removing.
20. Alignment Pin

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the cylinder head bolts in the sequence -1 to 10-.

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

• Bolt differences: 
• Bolt without collar
• Bolt with collar -arrow-

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a : VAS6075  and a feeler gauge.

• Maximum permissible distortion: 0.05 mm
