Overview - Front Three-Point Seat Belt

  1. Stop Sleeves
    • Permanent, welded with the lock washer on the bolt
  2. Lock Washer
    • Permanent, pushed on the bolt threads
  3. Bolt
    • 40 Nm
    • Replace the bolt if it was removed because of an accident when the seat belt was buckled.
  4. Connector
    • Driver side: for Driver Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N153-
    • Front passenger side: for Front Passenger Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N154-
  5. Automatic Belt Retractor
    • Driver side: with Driver Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N153- and market-specific version with Driver Belt Force Limiter -G551-
    • Front passenger side: with Front Passenger Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N154- and market-specific version with Front Passenger Belt Force Limiter -G552-
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRONT THREE-POINT SEAT BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
  6. Seat Belt Guide
    • Must swing in carrier direction after tightening bolt
  7. Bolt
    • 40 Nm
    • Replace the bolt if it was removed because of an accident when the seat belt was buckled.
  8. Connector
    • Driver side: for Driver Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N153-
    • Front passenger side: for Front Passenger Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N154-
  9. Pop Rivet Nut
    • Riveted in the B-pillar.
  10. Bolt
    • 4 Nm
  11. Connector
    • Driver side: for Left Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J854-
    • Front passenger side: for Right Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J855-
  12. Automatic Belt Retractor
    • Driver side: with Driver Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N153-, Left Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J854- and market-specific version with Driver Belt Force Limiter -G551-
    • Front passenger side: with Front Passenger Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter 1 -N154-, Right Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J855- and market-specific version with Front Passenger Belt Force Limiter -G552-
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRONT THREE-POINT SEAT BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • After replacing the Left Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J854- / Right Front Seat Belt Tensioner Control Module -J855-, the control module must be coded using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
  13. Lock Washer
    • Permanent, pushed on the bolt threads
  14. Bolt
    • 40 Nm
    • Permanent, secured with the lock washer on the belt end fitting
    • Replace the bolt if it was removed because of an accident when the seat belt was buckled.
  15. Belt End Fitting
  16. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
    • Permanent, secured with the lock washer on the belt end fitting
    • Replace the bolt if it was removed because of an accident when the seat belt was buckled.
