Refrigerant Circuit Pressure Sensor -G805-, Removing And Installing: Notes

WARNING:

Danger due to refrigerant coming out under pressure when there is damage to the refrigerant line.

Danger of frost bite to skin and other parts of the body.

  • Carefully loosen the pressure sensor -1- while noting the connection between the switch connection -3- and the refrigerant line -4-.
  • If the connection between the switch connection -3- and the refrigerant line -4- becomes deformed while loosening the pressure sensor -1- (for example, because of a stuck O-ring seal), counterhold on the switch connection -3- with suitable pliers when loosening the pressure sensor -1-.

Danger due to refrigerant coming out under pressure when there is a defective valve in the refrigerant circuit.

WARNING:

  • Extract the refrigerant and immediately open the refrigerant circuit after that.
  • If the refrigerant was extracted more than 10 minutes in the past and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, extract the refrigerant again. Pressure in the refrigerant circuit is caused by evaporation.
NOTE:

On vehicles with a high voltage system, not always installed. Refer to SYSTEM OVERVIEW - REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, VEHICLES WITH HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
