Release Button In Rear Lid Handle -E234-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect and free up the connectors -3 and 5- and the antenna wire -1-.

-- Remove the nuts -2 and 4-.

-- Release the retaining tabs in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the license plate lamps. Refer to Left License Plate Lamp -X4- /Right License Plate Lamp -X5-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the side retaining tabs using the Connecting Rod Support: 3090  in direction of -A arrows- and press the button -1- outward in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Guide the wire through the opening.

-- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to Luggage Compartment Trim Panels .

-- Disconnect the connector -4- and antenna wire -2-.

-- Free up the connector -3 and 5-.

-- Release the catches -6- and remove the cover -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -1 and 3-.

-- Open the tabs in direction of -arrows- and remove the anti-theft protection -4-. Guide the wires through the opening.

-- Release the side tabs in direction of -arrows A- and remove the button -1- outward in direction of -arrow B-.
