NOTE:
If work is performed on the chain drive, perform the "01 - mechanical engine, functions" listed adaptation. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Chain Tensioner
- Is under tension
- Secure using the Tensioner Locking Tool:T40267 before removing
- Bolt
- 4 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.
- Guide Pin
- 20 Nm
- Bolt
- Tightening sequence. Refer to Figure.
- Always replace after removing.
- Adapter Sleeve
- Depending on the version, not present on every bearing bracket
- Control Valve
- 35 Nm
- Left-hand thread
- Control Valve

- Mark the running direction with paint for reinstallation
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- After working on the chain drive perform the "01 - mechanical engine, functions" listed adaptation. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
