MECHATRONIC, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the transmission fluid pan. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the transmission fluid pump cover -A-.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -1 to 10-.

CAUTION:

- Do not touch the connector terminals.

- Touch a grounded object (for example the hoist) and discharge any static electricity.

-- Carefully pull the Mechatronic out of the transmission housing until the long sensor arm is no longer in the transmission housing.

-- Carefully pivot the Mechatronic downward.

-- Make sure that the locking tabs on the >>sensor arm<< do not break off.

-- Store the Mechatronic properly.

CAUTION:

- Do not lift the Mechatronic by the >>sensor arm<< or set it down on the arm.

If the >>sensor arm<< is damaged, the Mechatronic must be replaced.
