Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling SystemCooling System .
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to Air FilterAir Filter .
-- Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolt -2- and the screw-type clamp.
-- Remove the nuts -1 and 3- and move the catalytic converter to the side. (Shown with the engine removed.)
-- Loosen the hose clamp -2-.
-- Remove bolt -1-, push the left air guide pipe left.
-- Remove the nut -2- and free up the ground wire -1-.
-- Disconnect the connectors and remove from the ignition coils at the same time in direction of -arrows-.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the connection from the cylinder head.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the coolant hoses.
-- Remove the wiring duct -3- upward from the bracket to do so release the catch.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-. Pivot the coolant pipe to the side.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the Vacuum Sensor -G608-.
-- Carefully remove the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
- A damaged vacuum hose must be replaced.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and nut -1- and remove the heat shield -2-.
-- Remove the bolt -1-. Just loosen the bolt -3-.
-- Remove the turbocharger bracket -2-.
-- Remove the bolt -1-, turn the connection in direction of -arrow-, pull it out and push it to the side.
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 3-.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and then remove the connections.
-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3-, and remove the oil supply line and oil return pipe.
-- Open the hose clamp -arrow-.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
-- Remove the turbocharger from the cylinder head and remove it upward.
