Transmission Fluid Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Replace the transmission fluid pump cover and bolts.
Replace the gasket -B- and cover for the transmission fluid pump.
-- Check whether alignment pins -C- are inserted in transmission housing.
-- Slide transmission oil pump input shaft -A- into transmission as far as stop by turning shaft slightly.
- If transmission oil pump input shaft -A- is inserted correctly, dimension -a- = approximately 23 mm.
-- If there are metal shavings on sensor wheel -B-, remove shavings, but sensor wheel must not be demagnetized.
-- Remove paper seal between transmission oil pump and transmission.
-- Remove rest of paper seal and clean inside of transmission.
-- Clean sealing surfaces; they must be free from oil or grease.
-- Insert new paper seal between transmission oil pump and transmission, secure with gear oil if necessary.
-- Place transmission oil pump on input shaft and tighten. Refer to the appropriate service information. .
-- Clean transmission oil pump cover sealing surface on transmission housing.
-- Position transmission oil pump cover -A- and tighten. Refer to the appropriate service information. .
-- Install the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING , fill transmission oil and check oil level TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
