Direct Transmission MECHATRONIC -J743-, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
Replace the transmission fluid pump cover.
Replace the O-rings -arrows- on the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- connector.
If DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- is replaced, O-rings are contained in replacement part delivery package.
-- Carefully install the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- into the transmission.
- Mechatronic must be placed on alignment pins -arrow-.
- Sensor arm must rest in guide on transmission housing, as shown in the magnified area of the illustration.
-- Tighten the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- bolts. Refer to the appropriate service information. .
-- Install the ATF pan. Refer to OIL PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- electrical connector and lock retainer by turning.
-- Install transmission oil pump cover. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Risk of damage to the engine through overheating.
- Since the coolant was drained, only fill up the transmission fluid and do not yet start the engine.
- First start the motor when the coolant is filled for the engine cooling.
If the transmission fluid is dirty, change it.
-- Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING , fill transmission oil and check oil level TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
-- Perform basic setting. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, Guided Functions .
