Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Replace seals and self-locking nuts.

Coat the exhaust manifold stud bolts with hot bolt paste. Refer to the Parts Information for the hot bolt paste.

-- Install the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR .

-- Attach the driveshaft to the bevel box. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Mount the catalytic converter on the turbocharger and install the screw-type clamp loosely.

-- Tighten the nuts and screw-type clamp. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER - TIGHTENING SPECIFICATION AND SEQUENCE .

-- Install the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
