Transmission Fluid, Filling: Notes

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the transmission.

Only the transmission fluid available as a replacement part may be used in the DSG transmission 0D9. Refer to the parts information.
Using other fluids can cause malfunctions or transmission failure.
The oil filler adapter must be clean and transmission fluid must not be mixed with another fluid!

-- Measure the length -a- of the vent pipe on the transmission fluid container and shorten it if necessary before installing the adapter for oil filling :VAS6262A . Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .

-- Shake before opening.

-- Attach the transmission fluid container on the :VAS6262A .

-- Install the :VAS6262A into the opening for the drain and check plug -arrow 1- hand-tight.

-- Hold the container and :VAS6262A as high as possible over the transmission and fill the transmission with approximately 5.2 liters (5.5 qts) of transmission fluid.

-- Shift the selector lever in "P", push the parking brake button, in order to lock the electro-magnetic parking brake.

-- Press the brake pedal and hold it down.

-- Start engine and run at idle.

-- With brake pressed, shift through all selector lever positions "P, R, N, D/S" at idle, retaining each position for at least 3 seconds.

-- Move the selector lever into "P".

-- Check transmission fluid level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
