Overview - SUBFRAME

CAUTION:
There is a risk of damaging the subframe threaded connection threads on the body.
- The subframe bolts on the body must not be loosened or tightened with an impact wrench.
- Always install all bolts by hand for the first few turns.

- Lower Bonded Rubber Bushing for Pendulum Support
- Replacing. Refer to SUBFRAME, SERVICING .
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + 180° turn
- Always replace if removed
- Subframe
- Different versions. For the correct allocation. Refer to the parts information
- Securing. Refer to SUBFRAME, SECURING .
- Lowering. Refer to SUBFRAME, LOWERING .
- Removing and installing without steering gear. Refer to SUBFRAME WITHOUT STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Removing and installing with steering gear. Refer to SUBFRAME WITH STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Bolt
- 70 Nm + 180° turn
- Always replace if removed
- Clip
- Only for A3 e-tron
- Nut
- 65 Nm
- Always replace if removed
- Counterhold at socket head of joint bolt when tightening
- Upper Bonded Rubber Bushing for Pendulum Support
- Replacing. Refer to SUBFRAME, SERVICING .
- Stabilizer Bar with the Rubber Bushings
- Removing and installing. Refer to STABILIZER BAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Nut
- 65 Nm
- Always replace if removed
- Counterhold at socket head of joint bolt when tightening
- Suspension Strut
- Removing and installing. Refer to SUSPENSION STRUT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Coupling Rod
- Removing and installing. Refer to COUPLING ROD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Intermediate Plate
- For allocation. Refer to the parts information.
- Support
- Different versions, allocation. Refer to the parts information.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + 90° turn
- Always replace if removed
- Bolt
- 70 Nm + 180° turn
- Always replace if removed
NOTE:
Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
When tightening the bolts, the vehicle must stand on its wheels.
-- Tighten bolts -arrows- to 90 Nm and 45° additional turn
