• Torque Wrench 1331 5-50 Nm :VAG1331 
• Shock Absorber Set :T10001 
• Shock Absorber Set - Counter Holder 2 :T10001/10 
• Counterhold Tool :T40279 
• Commercially available ring spanner insert, such as Hazet 6630c-21

LOOSENING AND TIGHTENING BOLTED CONNECTION FOR SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNT:

1. Shock Absorber
   • For allocation. Refer to the parts information
   • Removing and installing. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Always release gas and drain malfunctioning shock absorbers before disposal. Refer to DISPOSAL .
   • Shock absorber, checking. Refer to REPAIR INFORMATION .
   • After replacing the shock absorber, the function "Adapt the Control Position" must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
   • If the control position was reprogrammed and if the vehicle has lane assist, then it will then be necessary to calibrate the driver assistance systems front camera. Refer to DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS FRONT CAMERA, CALIBRATING .

   • Combined part with -3-
3. Stop Buffer
   • Combined part with -2-
4. Shock Absorber Mount
5. Not Installed
6. Nut
   • 25 Nm
   • Always replace if removed.
7. Cable Guide
8. Cover
   • With connector mount

• Shock absorber is removed.

-- Free up the wire on the cover -item  ) SHOCK ABSORBER, CONTROLLED.

-- Unlock the contacts and remove the connector housing from the electric wire. Refer to CONNECTOR HOUSINGS, RELEASING AND DISASSEMBLING .

-- Remove the cable guide -item  ) SHOCK ABSORBER, CONTROLLED from the nut -item  ) SHOCK ABSORBER, CONTROLLED.
