Overview - Flywheel

1. Dual Mass Flywheel
   • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to FLYWHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Only possible to install in one position - holes are offset -
2. Alignment Sleeve
3. Transmission Side Sealing Flange
   • Always replace after removing.
   • With gasket
   • Do not apply oil to the seal.
   • Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .
4. Cylinder Block
5. Bolt
   • Tightening Specifications and Sequence
     • With 6 bolts. Refer to Fig 2.
     • With 8 bolts. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Aluminum bolts - Always replace after removing
6. Intermediate Plate
   • The illustration does not show the version in the vehicle.
   • Be careful not to damage or bend when installing
   • Installing. Refer to Fig 4.
7. Alignment Sleeve
8. Bolt
   • 60 Nm + 90°
   • Always replace after removing.

Transmission Side Sealing Flange with Six Bolts - Tightening Specifications and Sequence. 

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specifications
1.	-1 to 6-	Install by hand all the way
2.	-1 to 6-	Aluminum bolts: 4 Nm Steel bolts: 9 Nm
3.	-1 to 6-	Aluminum bolts: 45° additional turn

TIP: 

Only six bolts are installed, two bolt openings remain open.

Transmission Side Sealing Flange with Eight Bolts - Tightening Specifications and Sequence 

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specifications
1.	-1 to 8-	Install by hand all the way
2.	-1 to 8-	9 Nm

Intermediate plate, installing 

-- Hang the intermediate plate on the sealing flange -upper arrow- and slide it on the alignment sleeves -lower arrows-.
