Sub-Assembly Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to OVERVIEW - CYLINDER BLOCK, BELT PULLEY SIDE .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the A/C compressor from the bracket and tie it up with the refrigerant hoses connected to the longitudinal member. Refer to A/C Compressor, Removing And Installing .

-- Remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place a cloth under the sub-assembly bracket to catch any escaping engine oil.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the oil dipstick tube.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 5- and pull the sub-assembly bracket (different form depending on the model) off the coolant pump housing.
