Pinpoint Test A : Both SEATBELT Tension Reducers Do Not Operate

- A1 CHECK FOR BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform BCM self-test.
Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes B1430:12, B1430:14, B1435:12 or B1435:14 present?
Yes REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) . No GO to A2 - A2 CHECK THE SEATBELT TENSION REDUCER FUSE
- Ignition OFF.
- Inspect the BJB fuse 58 (5A).
Is the fuse OK?
Yes GO to A3 No REFER to the Wiring Diagram information to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. - A3 CHECK SEATBELT TENSION REDUCER VOLTAGE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect BJB C1035D .
- Disconnect Passenger Seatbelt Tension Reducer C389 .
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes INSTALL a new BJB. No REPAIR the circuit.
