Pinpoint Test Aw : The Backup Warning Chime Is Inoperative (China Only)

- AW1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Unbuckle the driver safety belt.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to AW2 No GO to Pinpoint Test BJ - AW2 CHECK THE REVERSE LAMPS OPERATION
- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the selector lever in REVERSE (R).
- Verify the reverse lamps operate correctly.
Do the reverse lamps operate correctly?
Yes GO to AW3 No REFER to: Reversing Lamps . - AW3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . No GO to AW4 - AW4 PERFORM THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) KOEO (KEY ON, ENGINE OFF) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to the appropriate Electronic Engine Controls article. No GO to AW5 - AW5 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to: Communications Network . No Refer to PCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING -- NAVIGATOR .
