Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

WARNING:

The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is warm. Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.

Wear safety gloves.
Wear protective eyewear.
Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening it.

-- Remove the cap -arrow- from the coolant reservoir.

-- Remove the front left wheel spoiler. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Loosen the front left wheel housing liner in the front. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Disconnect the coolant hoses -1 and 3- from the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188- using the :3094 .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and then remove the bracket.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- to remove the coolant hoses.

-- Remove the front bumper cover end plate. Refer to ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the nut -arrow- and free up the coolant line -3-.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Clamp off the coolant hose -1- with :3094 .

-- Remove the nuts -4-.

NOTE:

Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Loosen hose clamp -3-, remove the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188- from the coolant hoses.
