Pinpoint Test Ax : The Tow Haul RECONFIGURABLE Telltale (RTT) Is Never Or Always On

  1. AX1 CHECK THE RECONFIGURABLE TELLTALE (RTT) FUNCTION

    • Close all doors and the liftgate.
    • Ignition ON.
    • NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT) is active.

      Open the driver door while monitoring the door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT).

    Does the driver door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT) turn off with the driver door closed and turn on with the driver door open? 

    Yes  GO to  AX2.
    No  GO to Pinpoint Test AQ .

  2. AX2 PERFORM THE IPC SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
    No  GO to  AX3.

  3. AX3 PERFORM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCM KOEO self-test.

    Are any DTCs recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to Electronic Engine Controls .
    No  DIAGNOSE the tow haul system. REFER to Automatic Transmission 6R80 .
