1. Perform assist map writing. Refer to CALIBRATION [08/2013 - ] .
2. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ] .

   DTC C1581 is output.	A
   DTC C1581 is not output.	B

   NOTE:

   DTC C1581 is cleared after the assist map is written.

1. Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.

   Related Part	Power management control ECU
   	Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
   	Skid control ECU (Brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

   NOTE:

   When removing a related part to check it, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.

   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the power management control ECU. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 17 .

   HINT: 

   • DTC C1581 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.
   • When DTC C1581 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
