Indicator Circuit [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Can Bus Check.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B
    4. Turn the power switch off.

    B → See step   8 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
    4. Check DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs are output. A
      DTCs are output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → GO TO DTC CHART 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (LDA CONTROL INDICATOR) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test / LDA Control Indicator.
    4. Perform the Active Test.
      COMBINATION METER

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      LDA Control Indicator Lane departure alert indicator ON/OFF Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the power switch on (IG).

      OK

      Lane departure alert indicator turns on/off.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LDA INDICATOR) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Lane Departure Alert / Data List / LDA Indicator.
    4. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
      LANE DEPARTURE ALERT

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      LDA Indicator Status of the lane departure alert Indicator / Nothing or Green Nothing: Lane Departure Alert indicator is not illuminated
      Green: Lane Departure Alert indicator is illuminated      		 -

      OK

      The value on the Techstream and status of the lane departure alert indicator on the combination meter assembly are the same.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → See step   6 

  5. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] 
  6. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2013 - ] 
  7. REPLACE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] 
  8. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2013 - ]
