Daytime Running Light Relay Circuit [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK OPERATION (PARKING LIGHTS)
- Check the operation of the parking lights.
OK
The parking lights operate normally.
NG → See step 9
OK: Go to next step
- Check the operation of the parking lights.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
- Check that the daytime running lights illuminate.MAIN BODY

- CHECK ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Using a voltmeter, check the signal reading of the engine room junction block assembly. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2013 - ]

- Using a voltmeter, check the signal reading of the engine room junction block assembly. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2013 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND)
- Remove the engine room junction block assembly from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1F-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω 1G-4 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Remove the engine room junction block assembly from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 3D main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1F-6 (DRLS) - 3D-23 Always Below 1 Ω 3D-23 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 1G engine room junction block assembly connector.
- Disconnect the A19 headlight assembly LH connector.
- Disconnect the A52 headlight assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1G-8 (LDRL) - A19-5 (B) Always Below 1 Ω 1G-8 (LDRL) - A52-5 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Replace the engine room junction block assembly with a new or known good one. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
- Check that the daytime running lights operate normally.

- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
