Transmission

Selector Mechanism

In contrast to an automatic transmission, the selector lever position is no longer transmitted mechanically to the transmission via the selector lever cable and the multifunction transmission range switch (drive position sensor). The selector lever positions and shifts are transmitted via a separate control module in the selector mechanism to the transmission control module via the CAN bus. Shifting occurs without a cable. The selector lever cable mechanically brings the parking lock into the selector lever position "P".

Transmission Fluid and Gear Oil

The 6-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission and the front final drive have a shared transmission fluid fill.

The bevel box has a separate gear oil fill.

Shift Point Changes on Inclines and Declines

An additional gear change map automatically selects the gear changes for gradients depending on the accelerator pedal position and vehicle speed.
