Rear Spoiler Hinges, Lubricating

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Special Lubricant: G 052 172 A1 

Requirements:

• Vehicle must be at least at room temperature.

Procedure: 

-- Switch on the ignition and extend the rear spoiler.

-- First clean the lubricated areas with a lint-free cloth.

-- Lubricate all the rear spoiler hinge joints at the locations shown -arrows- with Special Lubricant: G 052 172 A1  .

-- Extend and retract the rear spoiler at least five times so that the lubricant can seep in.

-- Remove any excess lubricant with a cloth.

-- Repeat the procedure on the other side of the vehicle.

-- Extend the rear spoiler.
