Hinges, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Wrench - Door Adjusting :3320
- Torque Wrench, 6-50Nm:VAG1331A
- Follow the safety precautions. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
- To complete the procedure, a second technician is required to be at the following position found here: Remove the front lid .
CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the hood by opening when the pedestrian protection is triggered
- Only open the hood after the triggered pedestrian protection has been reset.
- Deployed pedestrian protection: hinge reset. Refer to HINGE, RESETTING .
