Upper Steering Column Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Move the steering wheel as far down as possible to do this use the full steering column adjustment range.

-- Unclip the strip -1- from the instrument panel using the : 3409  in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise 90° from the straight position.

-- Push a small flat-head screwdriver carefully in the gap -arrow B- and unclip the upper steering column trim panel -2- from the lower steering column trim panel.

-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Disengage the upper steering column trim from the lower steering column trim and remove.

-- Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight).
