Lower Steering Column Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.
-- Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise 90° from the straight position.
-- Push a small flat-head screwdriver carefully in the gap -arrow B- and unclip the upper steering column trim panel -2- from the lower steering column trim panel.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
-- Disengage the upper steering column trim panel on the lower steering column trim panel and move upward to the side.
-- Remove the accessible bolt -1- for the lower steering column trim panel.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and remove bolt on the opposite side.
-- Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight).
-- Remove the screw -3- and remove the lower steering column trim panel -2-.
-- Disconnect the connector for the Anti-Theft Immobilizer Reader Coil -D2-.
