Center Console Insert, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Remove the button unit trim. Refer to BUTTON UNIT TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipped on some models: Move the selector lever into "D/S".

-- Carefully pry out the selector lever/shift lever boot using the : 3409  from the center console in direction of -arrow- and fold up.

-- Equipped on some models: Remove the Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit -Y26-. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER TRANSMISSION RANGE POSITION DISPLAY UNIT -Y26-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

The insert can only be unclipped from the center console by exerting a relatively high amount of force.

-- Use a hand to reach under the center console insert -1- in direction of -arrow A- and carefully remove it upward from the center console in direction of -arrow B-.

-- At the same time, unclip the rear center console insert using the : T10383/1  from the center console in direction of -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the connectors and carefully remove the center console insert over the selector lever/gearshift lever.
