Brake Caliper, Replacing TTRS And Ceramic Brakes: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench, 40-200Nm :VAG1332A
- Brake Pedal Actuator :VAG1869/2 .
- Bleeder bottle from the Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit :VAS5234
- Plugs from the Assembly Part Set :5Q0 698 311
WARNING:
- Do not damage the brake hose and brake line.
- Do not bend the brake line past the specified form.
- A damaged brake hose or a damaged or bent brake line must be replaced.
Only bleed the brakes on the wheel from which the brake caliper was removed and the brake line was loosened. If the brake pedal still feels "soft", completely bleed the brakes. Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
CAUTION:
If brake pads are ceramics, wheel must not fall on brake rotor, otherwise it will be irreparably damaged. To install/remove wheel, install two assembly pins from vehicle tool kit in mounts on wheel bolts. The long assembly pin is in the upper position.
NOTE:
Clean bolts before reusing.
Replace damaged bolts.
Always replace self-locking bolts.
