Check Valve, Removing And Installing: Removing

Vehicles with 1.8L/2.0L TFSI Engine

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the air guide pipe.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -2-.

-- Press the release button on the vacuum hose -1-, remove the hose from the vacuum pump.

Vehicles with 2.5L TFSI Engine

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the vacuum hose -2-.

-- Free up the vacuum hose -1-, pull it out of the brake booster vacuum pump and remove it.

Vehicles with a TDI Engine

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the vacuum hoses -arrows-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the air guide pipe.

-- Release the retainer in direction of -arrow- and remove the vacuum hose -1-.

NOTE:

Different equipment depending on the version.

Ignore items -2 and 3-.

-- If installed, disconnect the connector -1- from the Vacuum Sensor -G608-.

-- Carefully remove the vacuum hose -2- from the brake booster.

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.
