Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

  1. Nut
    • 9 Nm
  2. Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
  3. Seal
    • Always replace after removing
  4. Oil Drain Plug or Plug
    • Oil Drain Plug 30 Nm
    • Oil drain plug for sheet metal oil pan lower section
    • Plug for plastic oil pan lower section
    • Turn the plug all the way using a flat-head screwdriver or a coin
  5. Gasket/O-ring
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Always replace after removing
  6. Seal/Liquid Sealant
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Always replace the seal after removal.
  7. Bolt
    • 4 Nm + 45°
    • Always replace after removing
  8. Oil Baffle
    • Always replace after removing
  9. O-Rings
    • Always replace after removing
    • Coat with engine oil
  10. Suction Line
    • Clean the screen if there are debris
  11. Centering Bracket
    • For the oil pump
    • Quantity: 2
  12. Bolt
    • Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 4.
    • Always replace after removing
  13. Oil Pan Upper Section
  14. Cylinder Block
  15. Oil Pump Drive Chain
    • Mark the running direction before removal
  16. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  17. Chain Tensioner
  18. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing
    • Coat with engine oil
  19. Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-
  20. Bolt
    • Tightening specification item  1
    • Always replace after removing
  21. Oil Screen
  22. Oil Pump
  23. Bolt
    • 8 Nm + 90°
    • Always replace after removing
  24. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing
    • Coat with engine oil
  25. Bolt
    • 4 Nm + 45°
    • Always replace after removing
  26. Bolt
    • Always replace after removing
    • Plastic oil pan lower section tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
    • Metal oil pan lower section tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 3.

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1. -1 to 20- Install by hand all the way
2. -1 to 20- 8 Nm
3. -1 to 20- 90° additional turn

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step Bolts Tightening specification/additional turn
1. -1 to 20- Install by hand all the way
2. -1 to 20- 8 Nm
3. -1 to 20- 45° additional turn

Depending on the version, aluminum or steel bolts may be installed.

A - Aluminum bolts:

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1. -1 through 18- 8 Nm
2. -1 and 2- 180° additional turn
3. -3 to 13- 45° additional turn
4. -14 through 18- 90° additional turn

B - Steel and Aluminum Bolts:

-- In this case, bolts 1 through 13 are steel bolts and bolts 14 through 18 are aluminum bolts.

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1. -1 through 13- 15 Nm
2. -14 through 18- 8 Nm
3. -1 through 18- 90° additional turn
