1. Alignment Pin
   • Quantity: 2
2. Cylinder Head Gasket
   • Replacing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Installed position: the part number faces the cylinder head
   • Change the coolant and engine oil after replacing
   • Perform the adaptation after replacing using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester 01 - Engine electronics, functions  , 01 - Chain length diagnostic adaptation 
3. Cylinder Head
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Checking for distortion. Refer to Fig 5.
   • Do not rework the upper sealing surface
   • Only replace the cylinder head and cylinder head cover together
   • Change the coolant and engine oil after replacing
   • Perform the adaptation after removing or replacing using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester 01 - Engine electronics, functions  , 01 - Chain length diagnostic adaptation 
4. Bolt
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Always replace after removing
   • Loosening. Refer to Fig 2.
5. Heat Shield
   • Equipped on some models

   • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.

    • Coat with coolant

    • Always replace after removing

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen and remove the cylinder head bolts in the sequence -1 to 10-.

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
• Refer to Bolt differences: 
• Bolt without collar
• Bolt with collar -arrow-

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a : VAS6075  and a feeler gauge.

• Maximum permitted distortion: 0.05 mm
