- Engine Support Bridge - Special Hook (2 pc.):10-222A/20
- Engine Sling - Engine Bracket :2024 A /1 for the Engine Sling:2024 A
- Shop Crane:VAS6100
- Engine Bung Set:VAS6122
Procedure
- Engine/transmission assembly removed and mounted on :T10359A .
-- Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the nut -arrows- and remove the front bracket from the transmission fluid pan.
The threaded bolts are welded to the front of the oil pan.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the bevel box bracket.
-- Variation: free up the secondary air injection hose -3- or the coolant hose.
-- Free up the wiring harness -1 and 2- from the air duct pipe.
-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -4-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the air duct pipe.
Version with Secondary Air System:
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the secondary air injection hose -2-.
Versions with Transmission Coolant Valve -N488- Version 1:
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
Place a cloth underneath to catch any leaking coolant.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses from the transmission fluid cooler.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and move the Transmission Coolant Valve -N488- to the side.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .
-- Attach the :2024 A extension to the transmission lifting eyes and secure it with the connector lock -arrow-.
-- Hook the :VAS6100 with the :10 - 222 A /20 on the :2024 A /1 .
-- Remove the bolts -1 to 8- for the transmission/engine connection.
-- Remove the transmission from the engine.
