Headlamp, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Turn the light switch to position "0".
-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Place the ignition key outside of the vehicle.
Vehicles with HID Headlamps
Life-threatening danger due to high voltage.
- HID headlamp usage and safety precautions. Refer to HID HEADLAMPS USAGE AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Do not operate the headlamp flasher.
Continuation for All Vehicles
-- Remove the bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bumper cover mount. Refer to OVERVIEW - BUMPER COVER .
-- Disconnect the connector -5-.
-- Using a felt-tip pen, mark the headlamp installation position at the bolts -3 and 4-.
-- Remove the bolts -3 and 4-.
-- Slide a screwdriver -1- as shown between the adjuster and the headlamp housing. Release the retainer in direction of -arrow A- and remove the adjuster -2- in direction of -arrow B-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Unclip the breather hose -1- from the radiator air duct and free it up.
-- Remove the headlamp -2-.
-- Right headlamp: Disconnect the connector from the garage door opener control module, if equipped.
-- If the headlamp is being replaced, remove the following components as well:
- Mount for the garage door opener control module. Refer to GARAGE DOOR OPENER CONTROL MODULE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
