After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-, Removing And Installing: Removing
During installation, install all heat insulation sleeves at the same locations.
The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is warm. Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a cloth and carefully opening it.
-- Open the coolant reservoir cap -arrow-.
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
AWD Vehicles
-- Loosen the hose clamp -2- and remove the air duct hose from the air duct pipe.
-- Free up the secondary air injection hose -3- or the coolant hose.
-- Free up the wiring harness -1 and 2- from the air duct pipe.
-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -4-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the air duct pipe.
Continuation for All Vehicles
-- Open the heat shield boot -3-.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Clamp off the coolant hoses at the After-Run Coolant Pump -V51- using :3094 .
Place a cloth underneath to catch any leaking coolant.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and the After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-.
