Transmission Coolant Valve -N488-, Removing And Installing, Version 1: Removing
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Loosen the hose clamp -1-, remove the air duct hose from the charge air cooler.
-- Variation: free up the secondary air injection hose -3- or the coolant hose.
-- Free up the wiring harness -1 and 2- from the air duct pipe.
-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -4-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the air duct pipe.
Version with Secondary Air System:
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the secondary air injection hose -2-.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Clamp the coolant hoses on Transmission Coolant Valve -N488- with :3094 .
Place a cloth underneath to catch any leaking coolant.
-- Loosen the clamps -2- and remove the coolant hoses.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and then remove the Transmission Coolant Valve -N488-.
