Rear Seat Backrest Locking Mechanism, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the locking mechanism trim. Refer to LOCKING MECHANISM TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear seat backrest in the area of the locking mechanism. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the backrest panel. Refer to BACKREST PANEL/BACKREST FRAME, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the locking mechanism -1- and release cable -2- from the backrest shell.

-- Disengage the release cable bracket -1- from the bracket on the backrest frame.

-- Disengage the end of the release cable -2- from the bracket -3- and remove the release cable.

-- Disengage the release cable bracket -5- from the bracket on the backrest frame.

-- Disengage the end of the release cable -4- from the bracket -3- and free up the release cable.

-- Disengage the release cable bracket -1- from the bracket on the backrest frame.

-- Disengage the end of the release cable -2- from the lever -3- to do so turn the end of the release cable in the direction of the -arrow A- and remove -arrow B-.

-- Cut through the cable tie and remove the release cable.
