Safety Precautions When Working On Cooling System

When working on the cooling system, observe the following:
WARNING:
There is a risk of scalding from hot steam and coolant.
- Cooling system is under pressure. The coolant temperature can be higher than 90 °C (194 °F) when the engine is warm.
- Release the pressure and reduce the temperature before working on the cooling system. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON COOLING SYSTEM (Engine Mechanical, Safety Precautions; Safety Precautions when Working on Cooling System).
- Open the cap on the coolant expansion tank to release the pressure in the coolant circuit. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING [DAZA] / COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING [CNTC, CYFB] .
CAUTION:
Danger of overheating due to an incorrectly installed cap.
- The cap must engage audibly and by touch when closing.
