Safety Precautions During Road Test With Testing Equipment

If testing equipment must be used during a road test, observe the following:

WARNING:

There is a risk of accident due to distraction and testing equipment that is not secured properly.

There is a risk that the front passenger airbag may deploy during an accident.

  • Operating testing equipment while driving is a distraction.
  • Unsecured testing equipment increases the risk of personal injury.

TT Coupe:

Always secure testing equipment to the rear seat and have them operated from there by a second person.

TT Roadster:

  • Move the front passenger seat as far back as possible.
  • The testing equipment -1- should lie flat on the lap of the front passenger as illustrated and he or she should operate it.
