Heater And A/C Unit Identification, VALEO

"Denso" heater and A/C units are installed on this vehicle at the start of production. "Valeo" heater and A/C units may also installed at a later date (introduction not yet finalized).

NOTE:

Ensure the correct allocation when replacing components. Interchanging components from different manufacturers is not permitted. Refer to the Parts Information.

Depending on the manufacturer, a sticker is attached to the heater and A/C unit at different locations. On a "Denso" heater and A/C unit, the manufacturer sticker -1- is on the right side of the air distribution housing for the heater and A/C unit. On a "Valeo" heater and A/C unit, the manufacturer sticker -2- is on the air distribution housing under the openings for the air to the instrument panel center vents.

• The manufacturer sticker -2- is visible on the heater and A/C unit only after removing the instrument panel.
• The separating point for the coolant pipes -arrows- is directly on the heater core -1-. The coolant pipes are visible after removing the cover for the left side (driver side).
