Left Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing: Removing
- The transmission is installed.
-- Remove the left drive axle -arrow- from the transmission. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Using a felt-tip pen, mark the installation position of the left ball joint on the nuts -arrows-.
-- Remove the nuts.
-- Remove the nut -1- and the bolt -3- and then move the Left Front Level Control System Sensor -G78- to the side.
-- Disengage the left ball joint from the transverse link.
- During the assembly work, make sure that the ball joint rubber boot does not get damaged. If necessary, protect the ball joint rubber boot from damage.
-- Remove the nut -1- for the left coupling rod -3- from the stabilizer bar -2-.
-- Pivot the left drive axle forward.
- Make sure that the drive axle protective coating is not damaged.
-- Pivot the left suspension strut outward and support it with the : 2024A/1 as shown.
Risk of Accident Due to Loose Support Parts.
- Secure the pin and ball joint with the securing pin -arrow- and nut -1-.
-- Remove the left flange shaft bolt by installing two bolts in the flange and counterholding the flange shaft with an assembly lever.
-- Remove the flange shaft with the pressure spring.
