Emergency Release From P, AUDI A3 And Q2

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Wedge Set: T10383 

Procedure

-- Pull the parking brake button to activate the electro-mechanical parking brake.

-- Carefully pry out the selector lever boot with the Wedge Set : T10383/1  on both sides -arrows- and then fold it upward.

Audi A3:

-- For example, release the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110- in direction of -arrow- using a screwdriver -1- and hold it in this position.

Audi Q2:

-- With a screwdriver -1- remove the release lever -2- in direction of -arrow- toward the rear and hold it in this position.

All Vehicles: 

• The solenoid releases the selector lever.

-- When the solenoid is released, press the button in the selector lever handle and move the selector lever out of "P".

• If the selector lever is shifted back into "P", the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110- will mechanically lock the selector lever in the "P" position again. The solenoid must be released again.
