Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model preliminary work may be required. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the container of the :VAS5014  or the :VAS6208  underneath.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -1-.

CAUTION:

Risk of destroying the ribbed belt pulley for the coolant pump due to impact or pressure.

  • When removing the coolant pump pay attention that the ribbed belt pulley does not make contact anywhere.
  • When removing the vacuum hoses do not support tools on the ribbed belt pulley.

-- Push the engine/transmission assembly slightly to the left side.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- through the holes in the ribbed belt pulley, and remove the coolant pump.
