Transmission Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To catch escaping coolant, place a cloth on the transmission fluid cooler and the transmission.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 4-, then clamp off the coolant hoses with the :3094  and then remove them.

-- Remove the bolt -3- and loosen the hose clamp -2-.

-- Disconnect and free up the connector -1- by sliding the retainer back and pressing the release down.

-- Pry up the cap -2-.

-- Remove the terminal - 30 / B+ wire -3- from the starter.

-- Remove the nut -arrow- and free up the ground wire.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Place the container of the :VAS5014  or the :VAS6208  underneath.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows-, disconnect the coolant hoses and let the coolant drain out.

-- Loosen the nut -1-.

-- Remove the coolant pipes from the coolant hose.
