Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing
- The transmission is removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Turn the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation -arrow- to "TDC" using the : T03003A .
- The notch -1- in the : T03003A is positioned vertically to the oil pan sealing surface.
- The marking -2- on the vibration damper is positioned opposite the marking -3- on the sealing flange.
-- Remove the locking bolt -arrow- for the "TDC" marking from the cylinder block.
-- Install the : T40069 in the groove and tighten to 15 Nm. If necessary, move the crankshaft back and forth slightly to center the bolt.
-- Remove the belt pulley side sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
-- Remove the lower timing chain cover. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Press back the guide rail using a screwdriver in direction of -arrow- and lock the pistons from the chain tensioner for the drive chain using the : T03006 .
-- Remove the lower guide rail -1-.
-- Remove the oil pan lower section. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1, 3 and 4- and remove the intake tube -2- for the oil pump.
-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -21 to 1-.
-- Carefully loosen the oil pan upper section from the bonding by positioning the screwdriver -A- at the areas indicated in the illustration.
